Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange (HoSE) has named the top 10 securities companies that held a combined 51.26 percent stake in shares and fund certificates for the entire 2009.
Thang Long Securities (coded TSC) topped the list with a 9.13 percent stake in brokerage market shares on HoSE. In the fourth quarter, the company’s brokerage stake was 11.31 percent, while it averaged 9.95 percent for the second half of the year.
The Military Bank backed company has increased its charter capital to 800 billion VND (42.11 million USD) from 500 billion VND (26.31 million USD).
Sai Gon Securities Incorporation (coded SSI) ranked second with a 8.26 percent brokerage market share in 2009. In the fourth quarter and the second half of the year, SSI in turn held a market share of 6.78 percent and 8.01 percent.
Sacombank Securities (coded SBS), the in-house broker for Sacombank, held a 7.77 percent share of the market.
HCM City Securities Corporation (coded HSC) held a 5.63 percent stake, while ACB Securities (ACBS) had a 4.37 percent stake. FPT Securities (FPTS) held 3.84 percent, King Eng VN Securities (KEVS) 3.4 percente, Bao Viet Securities (BVSC) 3.37 percent, Vietcombank Securities (VCBS) 2.90 percent and VISecurities (VIS) 2.59 percent.
In terms of bond brokerage on HoSE, ABB Securities, the in-house broker for An Binh Bank, led the list with an 18.21 percent market share, followed by VCBS with 17.38 percent and HSC with 11.31 percent./.
