Thao wins bronze medal at Asian athletics event

Bui Thi Thu Thao brought home a bronze medal at the eighth Asian Indoor Athletics Championship, which opened at the Aftab-e Enqhelab Stadium in Tehran, Iran, on February 1.

Hanoi (VNA) - Bui Thi Thu Thao brought home a bronze medal at theeighth Asian Indoor Athletics Championship, which opened at the Aftab-e EnqhelabStadium in Tehran, Iran, on February 1.

Thao finished third in the women’s triple jump with 13.22m.

Besides Thao, Nguyen Thi Oanh also brought home a bronze medal in the women’s3,000m category, with a time of 9 min 48.48 sec.

Oanh won two gold medals at the SEA Games last year in the 5,000m and 1,500m.

First-ever pho museum opens in HCM City

Located in an 800-square-metre area in Ben Thanh ward, the museum is the first private culinary museum in Vietnam licensed by the HCM City Department of Culture and Sports. Vietnamese delegation sets off for 13th ASEAN Para Games

Vietnam sends 185 members, including 140 athletes, competing in 11 sports including athletics, swimming, weightlifting, badminton, table tennis, chess, judo, boccia, archery, tennis, and fencing. The country aims to win 40–50 gold medals and strives to rank among the top 4–5 countries.
