The Party Central Committee’s Theoretical Council will focus its discussions on the renovation of the political system and the building of the socialism, the Party and the state.
The statement was made by To Huy Rua, Chairman of the council, in a meeting in Hanoi on January 18 reviewing the body’s performance last year and discussing tasks set for this year.
After the discussions, the council will send advices to the Party Central Committee, the Political Bureau, the Secretariat as well as sub-committees in charge of preparing draft documents for the Party Congress XI which is scheduled to take place in early next year, said Rua, who is a politburo member and secretary of the Party Central Committee.
The advices, he said, will help finalise the draft documents, including a platform on building the country in the transitional period towards the socialism and a report on the socio-economic development strategy for the period of 2011-2020./.
