Hanoi (VNA) – Party General Secretary andPresident Nguyen Phu Trong has sent a letter to all children in Vietnam andVietnamese children overseas, sharing the joy with them on the traditionalMid-Autumn Festival.
Extending his best wishes to thechildren, the top leader said he is happy to see the children studyhard and adapt to new methods to stay safe in the context of the ravagingCOVID-19 pandemic, with many of them winning prizes at international andnational competitions, thus bringing honour to the country and fostering hope andtrust in young generations who are future owners of the country.
“The Party, State, schools, families andsociety have always been caring for and creating the best conditions for children togrow up in a safe and healthy environment, as well as have all their rightsensured,” the leader wrote.
He expressed his wish that the childrencontinue to follow the five teachings by President Ho Chi Minh, respectgrandparents and parents and teachers, help those in disadvantagedcircumstances, and study well in order to contribute to building the countrywhen they grow up.
The leader also wished all children a joyful,safe and meaningful Mid-Autumn festival.
The Mid-Autumn Festival, celebrated on the 15th day of the 8th month on the lunar calendar, which fallson October 1 this year, is also festival for children in Vietnam. Manyactivities are held for children on this day, including gatherings to decoratefruit trays, lantern parades, lion dances, and gift giving./.
