Top ten business sectors paying most on online ads

Techin Asia, a research company on digital advertising market (Itracker.vn) recently published a report naming the sectors spending most for onlineadvertising in Vietnam in the third quarter of 2013.

Thesesectors include telecommunications with over 1.6 million USD,auto-transport nearly 1.4 million USD, information - communications over1.3 million USD, food 1.3 million USD, cosmetics nearly 1.3 millionUSD, finance - insurance over 863,000 USD, culture-entertainment nearly877,000 USD, pharmaceuticals nearly 813,000 USD and travel over 656,000USD.

According to the report, in the quarter, the totalexpenditure of ad units for the online ad market in Vietnam was 13.7million USD.

In particular, 31 percent of this amount was spent on July, 32 percent in August and 37 percent in September.

Compared to the second quarter, the total online ad spending in Vietnam increased by 2.7 percent.

MobiFone spent the most for online ads in the 3rd quarter 2013, with about 465,000 USD.

Othercompanies in the top 10 enterprises for online ads spending in theperiod include Nokia in second place, followed by Honda Vietnam, YamahaMotor, Samsung Vina, Sao Thai Duong, VietJet Air, VP Bank, PiaggioVietnam, and Vietbando, according to iTracker.

However, iTrackeralso stressed that its information does not reflect a completelyaccurate picture of the online advertising market in Vietnam.-VNA
