The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has selectetd the top ten cultural, sport and tourism events in 2017 based on the result of voting by over 150 journalists nationwide.

Hanoi (VNA) – The Ministry of Culture,Sports and Tourism has selectetd the top ten cultural, sport and tourism eventsin 2017 based on the result of voting by over 150 journalists nationwide.

 Following isthe list of standout events:

 * Outstandingcultural events:
 -Xoan singingand the art of Bai Choi were added to the UNESCO Representative List of theIntangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
 -Vietnam’simage shines in the film “Kong: Skull island”.
 -Overridingimpression on “Russian Cultural Days in Vietnam”

 *Outstandingsporting events:
 -The successfulperformance of the Vietnamese sport delegation at SEA Games 29
 -Vietnam’sfemale football team was crowned SEA Games champions for the fifth time.
 -Impressiveachievement of Vietnamese track and fields

 *Outstandingtourism events:
 - Record growthin number of foreign visitors.
 - 2017 Law onTourism was adopted to bolster tourism development.
 - The Politburoapproved a Resolution on developing tourism into the country’s spearheadeconomic sector.
 - Vietnamesetourism sector won many prestigious awards of the United Nations World TourismOrganisation. - VNA

Vietnam, Laos ink 2026–2030 culture-tourism cooperation plan

Both sides pointed to substantive, positive outcomes in cultural and tourism cooperation from 2021-2025, citing successful cultural weeks in each country, cultural and art activities marking important occasions of the two Parties and countries, and the effective delivery of agreements reached by leaders that further fostered the special Vietnam–Laos relationship.

Vietnam, RoK photo exhibition highlights cultural connections
