Toulouse Vice Mayor Jean-Marc Bares has underlined the remarkable contributions of Vietnamese young people and students to the enhancement of friendly ties between the French city and Vietnam .
Bares made the comment while receiving delegates to the mid-term meeting of the Vietnamese Students’ Union in France (UEVF), which was held in the French city from May 14 - 16.
The mayor stressed that friendly relations between Toulouse and Vietnam are growing strongly, adding that Toulouse and the Vietnamese capital city of Hanoi have cooperated closely in preserving, restoring and promoting the value of Hanoi’s Old Quarters over the past 10 years.
UEVF President Hoang Nang Thang thanked the municipal authorities for favourable conditions they have created for Vietnamese students and young people who are living and working in the city.
This was an important factor and a good opportunity to bolster cooperative relations between the two countries, especially in developing Vietnamese and French cultures, he added./.
