Thanh Hoa (VNA) – A ceremony to announce a tour of Dong Son ancient village in Ham Rong ward, Thanh Hoa city in the north central province of same name was held on March 2.
The tour introduces interesting places such as the national relic Le Uy – Tran Khat Chan temple, Dong Son pagoda, and an over-200-year-old house of a local resident to explore Dong Son culture.
The village, located along Ma river, is viewed among 10 most beautiful ancient villages of Vietnam. Since the 20th century, its name has been used for the world-famous Dong Son archaeological culture.
Dong Son village is home to various pagodas, temples and communal houses, along with archaeological, cultural, historical and architectural relics.
Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Director of the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism Vuong Thi Hai Yen said the tour exploring Dong Son village helps Thanh Hoa province to conserve and develop cultural values and bolster tourism.
She voiced her hope that the ancient village will become a popular tourist attraction for domestic and foreign visitors.-VNA
