A channel promoting tourism in Vietnam has been launched on the video-streaming platform YouTube, giving audiences free access to news and images about places of interest across the nation.

The tourism sector brought a record 230 trillion VND (10.9 billion USD) into the country last year, a 15 percent increase from the previous year, after hosting nearly 7.8 million foreigners and 37.5 million domestic visitors—an annual rise of 5.64 percent and 7.14 percent, respectively.
In late September 2014, the “Exciting Vietnam” tourism promotion campaign launched with the slogan “Vietnam – a safe, friendly and attractive destination”.
Representatives from media outlets and travel agencies, both within Vietnam and from key markets including Japan, the Republic of Korea and Russia, were invited to participate in press and FAM tours of the country.
The campaign also highlighted Vietnam’s tourism sector through international tourism fairs and domestic tourism promotion events.-VNA
