Tourism information app launched in Da Nang

The Department of Tourism of Da Nang officially launched a mobile phone software application, Danang FantastiCity, to help plan tours and find tourist information in Vietnamese and English.

- The Department of Tourism of the central city of DaNang officially launched a mobile phone software application, Danang FantastiCity,to help plan tours and find tourist information in Vietnamese and English.

Deputy director of the departmentNguyen Xuan Binh said at a press conference to announce the app that the appand its website www.tourism.danang.vn, would help tourists explore servicesand destinations, find accommodations in connection with social networkingplatforms – Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and Youtube where wireless or 3Gservice are not available.

The department plans to update theChinese, Korean and Japanese versions of the city’s tourism website in 2017.

Tourists can connect to FacebookLive Chat on the fanpage of FantastiCity to get advice or support from thedepartment’s tourism desk.

According to the city’s tourismpromotion centre, the Danang FantastiCity fanpage has attracted over 10,000followers since 2014.

The centre also plans to promotetourism information on favourite social network in China (Weibo, Ozone,Wechat), Japan (Mixi, Line, Twitter) and the Republic of Korea (Naver Instagram,Kakaotalk, Cyword) – the three top tourism markets of the central coastal city.

In October, Da Nang and the Japanesesoftware company Digital Ship also launched a Japanese-English website called"Happy Da Nang" aimed at boosting Japanese tourism to central Vietnam.— VNA
