Hanoi (VNA) - Vietnamese track-and-field athletes wrapped up their events at the ASEAN School Games (ASG) with five more gold medals in Singapore on July 18.
Huynh Thi My Tien won the girls’ 100m hurdle with a timing of 14.31 seconds, setting new a games record. The old one was 14.76s.
Le Thi Lan was also in the limelight after her victory in the girls’ 2,000m steeplechase. Her timing of 6 minutes and 59.76 seconds is also a new record. The old one was 7:00.02.
Three other gold medals went to Vu Ngoc Ha in the girls’ triple jump, Nguyen Trung Cuong in the boys’ 2,000m steeplechase and to the girls’ 4x400m relay team.
