Specifically, exports valued over 92 million USD, up 90%, while imports rose by over 15% to more than 93 million USD.
Farm produce remained the main exports, with a value exceeding 70 million USD, up over 63% year-on-year.
The main export items include dragon fruit, banana, rambutan, watermelon, cassava, and mangosteen.
Vietnam is expected to increase the shipment of seasonable fruits, such as lychee and dragon fruit, to China in the second quarter of this year.
Recently, many planting areas in Vietnam have been granted with codes to serve exports to China.
