During their foreign trips, or on occasions when OVs return home, Party and State leaders always meet them and listen to their opinions, thoughts and aspirations, and direct domestic agencies to promptly satisfy their legitimate aspirations.

In addition, many policies have been issued to create favourable conditions for OVs to return home to work, invest and do business, and many activities regularly organised to connect them with the homeland.

In the coming time, the ministry will actively coordinate with other ministries, localities and socio-political organisations to continue raising awareness and sense of responsibility in the effective implementation of the Party and State’s policy of great national unity with OVs, added Hieu.

Currently, there are more than 5.3 million Vietnamese people living, working and studying in over 130 countries and territories. They have really become an important resource contributing to the process of building, protecting and developing the nation./.
