According to the Vietnam Association for Seafood Exporters andProducers, the country exported 450 million USD of tuna by mid-October,marking a year-on-year increase of 55 percent.
The US remains Vietnam ’s leading tuna importer.
At present, global demand for tuna exceeds supply. It is forecast thatVietnam ’s tuna exports in 2012 will continue to increase, doublingthe value of last year’s return.-VNA
