Turkey helps Bac Ninh to improve mother, children’s health

The Turkish Government has provided 200,000 USD to the northern province of Bac Ninh to carry out a project to improve mother and child health care.

The project will get underway one year from Dec. 1, 2009, in 13 communes from the four districts Que Vo, Tien Du, Yen Phong and Bac Ninh city.

It is intended to enhance the organisations capabilities and develop the provinces resources for its network of reproductive health care services.

With this project, medicines and medical facilities will be provided to improve women’s health and especially mothers, and reduce the birth rate.

The project is also designed to ensure the rights of couples to choose their own preferred method of contraception, enjoy reproductive health care services and diagnose and treat breast cancer and women’s genital cancer./.
