Tuyen Quang (VNA) – Each youth union member or young person in the northern mountainous province of Tuyen Quang has upheld their role as a pioneer in digital transformation.

One of the solutions taken by the locality is raising their awareness of digital transformation, encouraging them to play an active role in this regard.

The standing board of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union in Tuyen Quang has coordinated with the provincial Department of Information and Communications, and People’s Committees of Tuyen Quang city and districts in organising training courses on e-administration.

In May alone, more than 1,000 youth union members joined the courses, during which they were instructed to use the Tuyen Quang ID application and Zalo page OA, which serve the local e-administration.

Local residents have also been guided to open their accounts on portals, submit dossiers online, use public digital signatures, and access citizen data.

Hoang Xuan Mai, from Na Hang town, said through the training course, she has been aware of responsibility of young people in digital transformation in the locality, adding that the knowledge she has been equipped will help her better guide other residents to access and use services on digital platforms.

Digital transformation should be carried out regularly and constantly. Therefore, local youths have paid attention to digital transformation application in economic development.

Many models have proven effective such as the Yen Lam Green Agriculture Cooperative in Yen Lam commune, Ham Yen district, which sells four tonnes of products each day through Facebook; and the Tai Ngao Homestay of the Thuong Lam Youth Cooperative in Lam Binh district, which specialises in tourism and attracts more than 500 delegations of holidaymakers each year thanks to its initiative in connecting businesses in tour development, and posting promotion programmes on Zalo and Facebook, among others.

At the launching ceremony of the volunteer youth campaign 2023, the standing board made public up to 299 OA Zalo pages of units of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union in Tuyen Quang.

Hoang Tran Trung, Deputy Secretary of the province’s Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, said the Zalo pages provide updates on youth union activities, disseminate guidelines of the Party and the State, and receive proposals from young people.

Many groups have been established in support of digital transformation at the “single-window” system of communes and districts, helping people and businesses in administrative procedures.

QR codes will also be applied at tourist destinations in the time ahead to provide visitors with full information./.
