Two new bridges crossing the Han River in the central city of Da Nang opened to traffic on March 29 to mark the 38 th anniversary of the Liberation Day of the city.
Addressing the event, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc highlighted the efforts of the city’s authorities and people in lifting the face of the city, particularly in building infrastructure and new residential areas.
The “Rong” (dragon) bridge is 666m long and more than 36m wide while the Tran Thi Ly bridge is 731m long and 34.5m wide. The two were built at a total cost of more than 3.4 trillion VND.
The bridges linking the city’s centre with Son Tra and Ngu Hanh Son districts are expected to meet transport needs even in the years to come.-VNA
