U19 Vietnam defeated Singapore 6-0 at the AFF U19 Championship Group B match in Laos on August 29.

With this win, Vietnam temporarily topped the group with seven points and raised their chances of advancing to the final four.

Vietnam went on the attack beginning in the first minutes of the match, and Ha Duc Chinh opened the scoring for Vietnam in the 18th minute with a penalty goal.

With their confidence boosted by the goal, the Vietnam players charged forward and reeled in five more goals before the end of the game. Nguyen Tien Linh scored twice in the 45th and 90th minutes, while Ho Minh Di (32nd), Pham Trong Hoa (64th) and Truong Tien Anh (79th) netted the remaining goals.

They will meet Myanmar on August 31.-VNA

Vietnam to send 498-member delegation to 20th ASIAD in Japan
