Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc hosted a reception in Hanoi on September 19 for his Ugandan counterpart Henry Kajura Muganwa, who is on a Vietnam visit at the invitation of the T&T Corporation.
Phuc described the visit as an important step that helps create conditions for Vietnamese enterprises to study the Ugandan market and seek Ugandan partners for their business and investment activities.
He suggested the two countries’ high-ranking leaders increase visits to exchange development experience and sign agreements to lay the legal foundation for economic cooperation.
Henry Kajura said he is impressed by the development of Vietnam at present, adding that the two countries hold a lot of similarities and have opportunities to expand bilateral ties, particularly in trade.
He expressed his hope that the Vietnamese Government and businesses will step up business and investment cooperation with Uganda in the fields it has advantages such as fisheries, agriculture, and oil and gas.-VNA
