A British businessmen delegation, led by Deputy Chief Executive of the London Chamber of Commerce and Industry Peter Bishop, will make a fact-finding tour of Vietnam from Nov. 14-18.

During their stay in the country, the delegation will explore investment opportunities in Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi and visit Harvey Nash Company, a global professional recruitment consultancy and IT outsourcing service provider, that has been operational effectively in Vietnam for the past decade.

In a recent interview granted to the Vietnam News Agency correspondent in London, Bishop said Vietnam is considered to be an attractive investment destination for UK businesses because of its good achievements in recent years, favourable investment environment and high economic growth.

He said he will be accompanied by businesses operating in mechanical engineering, design, water treatment, providing lab facilities, medical management, software, exports, personnel recruitment, publication, and vocational training.

The Vietnam Airlines’ move to open a direct air route from Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City to London in December will facilitate businesses’ operation, he added.

He said he hopes Vietnam will join the ATA (Admission Temporaire-Temporary Admission) Carnet which, he said, will also facilitate Vietnamese businesses’ trade promotion.

The London Chamber of Commerce and Industry will set aside two pages of its magazine in coming December and January, 2012 to introduce Vietnam, he added./.
