Ukraine is willing to further boost its ties with Vietnam in a deeper and more effective manner, especially in the spheres of business, trade and investment, information technology, education and cultural exchange.
Ukrainian Minister of Foreign Affairs Leonid Kozhara made the statement at a recent reception for outgoing Vietnamese Ambassador to Ukraine Ho Dac Minh Nguyet.
At the reception, Minister Kozhara highly valued Nguyet’s efforts and significant contribution to reinforcing and expanding the traditional friendship and comprehensive cooperation between the two countries in the recent past.
He stressed that the two sides need to hold the 14th meeting of the Vietnam - Ukraine Intergovernmental Committee to put forth measures to promote trade and investment activities.
He also expressed his wish for more cooperation between the two countries’ foreign ministries in readiness for the visits of President Truong Tan Sang and Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh next year.
Ambassador Nguyet thanked the country for its support to Vietnam ’s election as a member of the United Nations Human Rights Council in the 2014-2016 term.
She also affirmed Vietnam’s close collaboration with the European country to realise specific measures with the aim of further fostering the two countries’ traditional friendship and multifaceted cooperation, especially in trade and investment.-VNA
