For many years, veteran Vu Khac Dai in Nha Trang city, Khanh Hoa district has collected hundreds of items and documentaries about President Ho Chi Minh, creating a free-of-charge library for visitors.

Within a small space of 10 m2 living room, war veteran Vu Khac Dai displays about 5,000 pictures and documentaries of the late leader. Some of the precious documents were gifted by local residents.

The content of these revolves around the life of Uncle Ho, Uncle Ho and children, women and farmers, Uncle Ho in the international arena and some interviews of renowned scholars and historical figures.

Tu Quang Vien, former soldier, Nha Trang city, Khanh Hoa province: "He has spent 40 years collecting and transcribing these documents by hands. Whenever we need anything, we would stop by his house and go through the archive."

His wife has witnessed days when he suddenly woke up and wrote down information so that he wouldn’t forget. As much as how worried she is for his health, she still encourages him.

Tran Thi Thin, Dai’s wife: "Sometimes, when he finds a record or document about the late leader, he would spend time to write them down. He is so passionate about this."

When Uncle Ho passed away, he was chosen to march in the commemoration of the late leader. That sparked the love and admiration for the late leader; it has been a drive for his endless quest for memorial items and documents. He was even invited to talk in the locality about Uncle Ho.

Vu Khac Dai, former soldier, Nha Trang city, Khanh Hoa province: "My number one priority is to finish the collection and pass down to future generations so that they could know more about the father of the nation."
