A total of 750 overseas Vietnamese (OVs) worldwide and 250 delegates nationwide have registered to attend the second conference for OVs to be held in Ho Chi Minh City from Sept. 26-30.
The conference themed “Vision to 2020 – the Overseas Vietnamese Community’s Integration and Development with the Nation” will have four separate symposiums.
They are the community’s future – integration and development issues; cultural identity and national traditions; overseas Vietnamese academics with industrialisation and modernisation; and overseas entrepreneurs working for the future of communities and country.
The State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese Affairs under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will organise the music festival “ Vietnam , My Native Country” on Sept. 28 in the city.-VNA
