A delegation from the New York-based Battery Dance Company taught dance to students at the College of Culture and Arts in the central province of Thua Thien-Hue from October 4-7.
The lessons were part of activities to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Vietnam-US diplomatic ties.
During the four-day programme, 80 students had the chance to learn the basic techniques of contemporary dance, ballet and hip-hop.
They are expected to perform with Battery Dance Company artists at the Duyet Thi Duong royal theatre and the province’s culture and information centre on October 9-10.
The Battery Dance Company was founded in 1976 by Jonathan Hollander and his wife, Noelle Braynard. The group performs on the world's stages, teaches and is an advocate for the field of dance.
It has represented the US overseas and developed cultural exchange programmes in the realm of dance and the performing arts.-VNA
