Hanoi (VNA) – The US's White House has said its President Donald Trump and leader of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) Kim Jong-un will hold a “joint agreement signing ceremony” at the end of the summit in Hanoi on February 28.

It said on February 27 that President Trump will begin the second day of the summit with a 45-minute one-on-one meeting with Kim. He will hold a news conference following talks with the DPRK leader at 3:50pm (Hanoi time) on the day.

On February 27 evening, the US President tweeted that he had “great meetings” and “very good dialogue” with leader Kim.

On February 25, the Presidential Residence (Blue House) of the Republic of Korea said the two leaders could reach a deal on declaring an end to the Korean War at their second summit in Hanoi. Its spokesman Kim Eui-kyeom said he thought even just an end-of-war declaration by the DPRK and the US alone would be enough.-VNA
