US Government provides aid for field hospital in Vietnam

The Prime Minister has approved a project to provide medical equipment for the second-level field hospital using non-refundable aid of the US Government.

Hanoi (VNA) – The Prime Minister hasapproved a project to provide medical equipment for the second-level fieldhospital using non-refundable aid of the US Government.

The project will be launched at the Military Hospital175 in Ho Chi Minh City this year with a combined fund of around 2 million USDfrom the US Government and 5.5 billion VND (242,317 USD) sourced from thecountry’s national defence budget.

It will provide training courses to improve thecapacity of Vietnam’s medical forces to be served in the United Nations (UN) peacekeepingmissions.

The project will also prepare personnel andessential health equipment of the second-level hospital to engage in missionsupon the request of the UN.-VNA
