Hanoi (VNA) – The International Trade Administration under the US Department of Commerce (DOC) has published a notice announcing that the department rescinded the administrative review of the antidumping duty order on certain steel nails from Vietnam for the period between July 1, 2016 and June 30, 2017.
On September 13, 2017, the DOC published in the Federal Register a notice of initiation of an administrative review covering each of the 19 producers or exporters named by Mid Continent Steel & Wire, Inc. in its July 31 review request.
However, on September 28, 2017, the petitioner withdrew its administrative review request for each of the 19 companies.
Pursuant to 19 CFR 351.213(d)(1), the DOC will rescind an administrative review, in whole or in part, if the party, or parties, that requested a review withdraws the request/s within 90 days of the publication of the notice of initiation of the requested review.
As Mid Continent Steel & Wire, Inc. withdrew its request for review by the 90-day deadline, and no other party requested an administrative review of this order, the department is rescinding this review.
The DOC will instruct US Customs and Border Protection to assess the countervailing duties on all appropriate entries at rates equal to the cash deposit of estimated anti-dumping duties required at the time of entry, or withdrawal from warehouse, for consumption, during the period.-VNA
