Hanoi (VNA) – The US Department of Commerce has cancelled a review of the countervailing duty order on steel nails from Vietnam for the period between January 1 and December 31, 2016.
The rescission notice was issued last week.
The department received a request from Mid Continent Steel & Wire Inc. to conduct an administrative review of the countervailing duty order with respect to 14 companies from Vietnam on July 31.
Based upon this request, the department published a notice of initiation of administrative review for this order on September 13. But on September 28, the petitioner withdrew its request for all 14 companies so the department rescinded the order.
The department will instruct US Customs and Border Protection to assess the countervailing duties on all appropriate entries at a rate equal to the cash deposit of estimated anti-dumping duties required at the time of entry, or withdrawal from warehouse, for consumption, during the period.-VNA
