A project to enhance young actors' performing skills was launched inHanoi on Nov. 2 under the auspices of the US embassy.
The month-long project, directed by Neil Fleckman and involving artistsfrom the Youth Theatre, will focus on the drama, All My Sons, byAmerican playwright Arthur Miller.
All My Sons wastranslated into Vietnamese in 1973 and staged in Vietnam by directorNguyen Dinh Nghi. The play was included in 100 Masterpieces of WorldTheatrre, published in 2006.
Fleckman earned a Master'sDegree in Theatre from Columbia University and began acting andproducing. He worked on tours by the New York City Ballet and AmericanBallet Theatre.
Fleckman began working with Vietnameseactors and producers on Oct. 31 to rehearse for performances in Hanoiand Hai Phong early in December./.
