Victory over fascism celebrated in HCM City

Addressing the event, Russian Consul General Nikolay Dmitrievich Ubushiev said the great victory of the Soviet people and Red Army not only helped preserve independence and freedom for the former Soviet Union but also stopped the fascism’s conspiracy to rule the world, reflecting humankind’s aspiration for peace.

He also expressed his hope that Vietnam and Russia will continue to close their ties and develop friendship between the two peoples.

At the ceremony, the association’s vice president Tang Van Hong underlined that the victory over fascism and the Liberation of Southern Vietnam are significant landmarks in each country’s history.

As part of the ceremony, a bilingual art performance took place, contributing to boosting close ties and comprehensive cooperation between the two nations./.
