Vietinbank starts construction of office building in Laos

The Vietnam Bank for Industry and Trade (Vietinbank) started work on the construction of a nine-story office building in Laos’ capital city of Vientiane on November 15.
The Vietnam Bank for Industry and Trade (Vietinbank) started work on theconstruction of a nine-story office building in Laos’ capital city ofVientiane on November 15.

The building willserve as the bank’s head office in Laos while providing office space forrent with a total floor space of 18,552 sq.m, according to Nguyen VanDu, Deputy Director General of Vietinbank.

Theproject which has a total investment of 25 million USD, will be carriedout by the Lao company Chitchareune over 36 months.

Vientiane’s Mayor Sinlavong Khoutphaythoune welcomed the constructionof a modern building of Vietinbank in Vientiane’s downtown, saying thatit reflects the bank’s commitment to the Lao market.

Currently, PVEP is involved in oil exploitation at Blocks 433a and 416b of the Bir Seba field in the Hassi Messaoud area, Ouargla province, located more than 600 km south of Algiers. Finance ministry eyes flexible tax thresholds

In a draft law amending several articles of the laws on personal income tax, corporate income tax and value-added tax, Vietnam's finance ministry proposed scrapping the fixed revenue threshold of 500 million VND. Instead, it suggested the threshold be set by the Government based on prevailing economic conditions.

Remittances to Ho Chi Minh City decline in Q1 amid global headwinds
