The Vietnam Bank for Industry and Trade (Vietinbank) started work on the construction of a nine-story office building in Laos’ capital city of Vientiane on November 15.
The building will serve as the bank’s head office in Laos while providing office space for rent with a total floor space of 18,552 sq.m, according to Nguyen Van Du, Deputy Director General of Vietinbank.
The project which has a total investment of 25 million USD, will be carried out by the Lao company Chitchareune over 36 months.
Vientiane’s Mayor Sinlavong Khoutphaythoune welcomed the construction of a modern building of Vietinbank in Vientiane’s downtown, saying that it reflects the bank’s commitment to the Lao market.
