Vietnam Airlines increases flights for summer season

The national flag carrier Vietnam Airlines has announced plans to increase flights on domestic routes to serve increasing travel demands during the summer season 2016.

Hanoi (VNA) – The national flag carrier Vietnam Airlines has announced plans to increase flights on domestic routes to serve increasing travel demands during the summer season 2016.

Accordingly, from June 1 to August 15, the carrier will provide over 662,000 extra seats on 2,115 flights across 11 routes, from Hanoi to Ho Chi Minh City, and from Hanoi or Ho Chi Minh City to Da Nang, Nha Trang, Phu Quoc, Hue and Da Lat.

The total number of seats served during the period will be 3,555,000, up 22.9 percent from the same period last year.

Tickets are available at www.vietnamairlines.com or at the airline’s booking offices and agencies nationwide.

The carrier has targeted about 20.1 million passengers this year, generating 77.8 trillion VND (3.5 billion USD) in revenue and 2.3 trillion VND (103 million USD) in pre-tax profit.-VNA
