Vietnam Airlines signs deals totalling nearly 450 million USD with Chinese partners

The national flag carrier Vietnam Airlines signed memoranda of understanding (MoUs) on cooperation with Chinese partners, with a total value of nearly 450 million USD, within the framework of National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue’s official visit to China from April 7-12.

Hanoi (VNA) – The national flag carrier Vietnam Airlines signedmemoranda of understanding (MoUs) on cooperation with Chinese partners, with atotal value of nearly 450 million USD, within the framework of NationalAssembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue’s official visit to China from April 7-12.

Vietnam Airlines andSaigontourist, one of Vietnam’s leading travel agents, inked an MoU oncooperation in the fields of aviation and tourism with China’s Shanghai Boxi,and Beijing Cosmos Travel International Co., Ltd.

Under this document, they will cooperate inproviding charter flight services, and coordinate in promoting and organising tourism events.

The carrier also signed another with ShanghaiWanjun Aviation Service Co., Ltd. in the field of freight transportation, whichincludes agreements on coordination in freight transportation, logisticsoperations, service promotion and search for investment opportunities relatedto freight transportation infrastructure.

On April 10, within the framework of apolicy and law forum to promote investment and trade cooperation betweenVietnam and China held in Shanghai, Vietnam Airlines announced its plan to put its wide-bodyBoeing 787 into use on routes between the two countries.

Specifically, from June, the airline willoperate wide-body aircraft on routes between Hanoi and China’s Shanghai andBeijing, in addition to Airbus A321 aircraft. From July, it will run wide-bodyaircraft for all flights between Ho Chi Minh City and Shanghai.

Over the past 30 years, Vietnam Airlineshas expanded its flight network to many locations across China. Currently, theairline is operating 33 return flights per week on routes connecting Hanoi, HoChi Minh City and Beijing, Guangzhou and Shanghai. It has conducted 100,000flights, transporting nearly 12 million passengers and 166,000 tonnes of goods./.

Construction of AEON Hai Duong Shopping Centre kicked off

With a total investment of around 1.18 trillion VND (45.6 million USD), the AEON Hai Duong Shopping Centre is designed with a total floor area of approximately 3.6 hectares. Hanoi to develop 254-million-USD industrial cluster
