Illustrative image (Photo: VNA) Hanoi (VNA)– National flag carrier Vietnam Airlines will offer wifi services in some ofits flights starting from October 10, becoming the first Vietnamese airline todo so, announced the carrier on October 7.
Passengers will beable to access the service in Vietnam Airlines’ flights using Airbus A350 inthe air routes linking Hanoi with Ho Chi Minh City, Shanghai, Osaka; and Ho ChiMinh City with Osaka and Singapore.
At a price between2.95 - 29.95 USD, passengers can choose suitable packages with a maximumcapacity of 80 MB.
From the launch of thenew services to the end of this year, the carrier will offer 30 minutes of freewifi which enables passengers to send text messages during their flights.
The airline will workto offer the service in other Boeing 787 and Airbus A350 aircraft with fasterspeed in the coming time.
Earlier, VietnamAirlines was the first to provide wireless-streaming services on its AirbusA321neo fleet.
It is now operating 94routes to 21 domestic and 29 international destinations with an average of 400flights per day, connecting the world’s major cities to travel destinations inVietnam, Laos, Cambodia, and Myanmar./.
