Hanoi (VNA) - A flight from Budapest, Hungary, operated by Vietnam Airlines carrying COVID-19 vaccines and medical supplies provided by several European countries landed at Hanoi’s Noi Bai international airport on October 14.
The goods consist of 560,000 doses of AstraZeneca vaccines, including 100,000 and 60,000 doses donated by the Slovak and Croatian Governments, respectively, while 400,000 doses were resold to Vietnam by the Hungarian Government under a non-profit mechanism.
Meanwhile, the 12.5 tonnes of medical supplies and equipment worth 380,000 USD in total are gifts from Vietnamese expatriates in Hungary to their home nation.
