Vietnam and Armenia should establish joint mechanisms, like an inter-governmental committee, to promote their cooperation in potential areas.
The view was shared by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh and Armenian Ambassador to Vietnam Raisa Vardanyan during their meeting in Hanoi on July 14.
Both agreed that more visits at all levels should be made and agreements on trade, investment, culture and education, should be refined to help consolidate the traditional friendship and step up multi-faceted connection between the two countries.
Deputy PM Minh appreciated Armenia’s opening of its Embassy in Vietnam, describing it as an important foundation to elevate the bilateral ties.
He suggested the foreign ministries of both countries continue working closely together at international forums.
The Armenian Ambassador expressed his concerns about the latest developments in the East Sea and said all issues need to be settled by peaceful measures.-VNA
