A delegation of the Vietnamese National Assembly led by Nguyen Van Son, Head of the NA’s Committee for External Relations, is attending the 19 th annual meeting Asia-Pacific Parliamentary Forum (APPF) in Mongolia starting on Jan. 23.
During his stay in Mongolia , Son met with the Chairperson of the Parliament and the Prime Minister of Mongolia and international delegations.
At the four-day event, 245 delegates from 17 regional countries will focus their discussion on a wide range of issues regarding security, politics, economics, trade and regional cooperation and mapped out plans for APPF in the future.
APPF is seen as a forum for parliamentarians to frankly discuss difficulties regional countries are facing, opportunities for cooperation and the world’s emergency issues.
They also share experiences in policy making and deliberate regional integration, political and social reforms as well as cultural development of less-developed countries./.
