Vietnam attends workshop on political parties in Mexico

A Vietnamese Party delegation led by Hoang Thanh Khiet, Deputy Chief of the Office of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee, took part in a workshop on political parties in Mexico City.
A Vietnamese Party delegation led by Hoang Thanh Khiet, Deputy Chief of the Office of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) Central Committee, took part in a workshop on political parties, which concluded in Mexico City on March 19.

Speaking at the three-day workshop, entitled “Political Parties and a New Society”, Khiet informed delegates of the results of the 11th National Congress of the CPV with the goal of bringing Vietnam to a modern industrialised country by 2020 and a socialist-oriented modern industrialised country by the mid-21 st century.

In order to promote the images of the land and people of Vietnam to international friends, the Spanish version of the book “The Vietnamese Revolution: Theory and Reality” published by the Workers’ Party of Mexico (PT) was introduced at the workshop.

The book, which has never been published in Vietnam , includes articles introducing Vietnam ’s national development from the establishment of the CPV, its struggles against the invasive imperialism and renewal achievements.

In addition, publications of the Vietnam Pictorial under the Vietnam News Agency printed in Spanish also come to over 270 delegates from left-wing parties and social organisations of 37 countries from Europe, Asia, Africa, Latin America and the Caribbean .

An exhibition on the people and country of Vietnam also took place during the event.

On the sidelines of the workshop, the delegation had a working session with PT General Secretary Alberto Anaya Gutierrez during which the two sides emphasised the need to further boost bilateral cooperation in the future.

During their stay in Mexico , the Vietnamese delegation laid a wreath at the Statue of President Ho Chi Minh in Mexico City./.
