Phnom Penh (VNA) – The inspection sectors of Vietnam and Cambodia have agreed to continue expanding their inspection work cooperation in the coming time, focusing on the exchange of delegations and personnel training.
The two sides signed a memorandum of understanding on enhancing links after a talk between Vietnamese Inspector General Phan Van Sau and Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Ministry of Public Relations with the National Assembly, Senate and Inspection of Cambodia Men Som On in Phnom Penh on November 29.
Men Som On appreciated the Vietnamese Government Inspectorate’s support for and cooperation with the Cambodian inspection agency, especially in training.
While informing each other of their prominent political situation and socio-economic developments in recent time, the officials expressed their joy at the fruitful relationship between the two countries, which has been strengthened across fields, including inspection.
Links between the Vietnamese and Cambodian inspection agencies recorded positive results, contributing to promoting the bilateral relations, they said.
They shared experience in addressing complaints and denunciations, and fighting corruption, while discussing future cooperation orientations between the two agencies.
Vietnam pledged to send experts to help Cambodia improve its inspection sector.
Later the same day, Inspector General Phan Van Sau and the Vietnamese delegation paid a courtesy visit to Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Hun Sen.-VNA
