Preah Ket Mealea Hospital of Cambodia and Military Hospital 175 of Vietnam held their first medico-surgical symposium in Phnom Penh on December 28.
Attending the event were more than 200 medical experts from the two hospitals and other Cambodian military and civil hospitals, as well as members of a Chinese military medical delegation that were on a working visit to Preah Ket Mealea Hospital.
Ten reports were delivered at the event, focusing on various topics including treatment of stroke patients, nasal and gallbladder endoscopies, coronary artery surgery as well as other surgical techniques.
Participants at the event highlighted techniques that have been successfully performed at Military Hospital 175.
Addressing the symposium, General Ly Sovann, Director of Preah Ket Mealea Hospital; and Colonel Nguyen Hong Son, Director of Military Hospital 175, highly valued the close and effective cooperation between the two hospitals.
They described the cooperation as evidence of the friendship and solidarity between the two armies and peoples.
The two sides expressed their hope that the results of the symposium will contribute to deepening and broadening their cooperation to improve healthcare services for soldiers.-VNA
