The Government Inspectorate will launch two basic and intensive professional courses for its Cambodian counterparts in the time to come, Deputy Inspector General Le Tien Hao has said.

He made the pledge in Hanoi on November 25 while receiving a delegation from the Cambodian Ministry of National Assembly Senate Relations and Inspection led by Secretary of State Chheng Saroeun, who is on a working visit to Vietnam from November 24-28.

Hao said he is satisfied with the close friendship and cooperation between the two sides.

In 2003, the two sides signed a cooperation agreement to bolster their friendship. They have facilitated regular high-ranking visits to share experience in inspection and the settlement of complaints and denunciations.

Between 2006 and 2012, the Inspectorates held five basic professional training courses for 98 officials of its Cambodian counterparts and two courses for eight inspection lecturers.

Saroeun said he hopes Vietnam will continue helping Cambodia with personnel training via the exchange of visits.

The guests learnt about Vietnam’s experience in how to devise regulations and better resolve complaints involving land use.

During the visit, they will work in Ho Chi Minh City and the Central Highland province of Lam Dong.-VNA
