Senior officials from the Vietnamese Ministry of Planning and Investment (MPI) and the Cambodian Planning Ministry have met in Phnom Penh to review the first year of implementation of a bilateral memorandum of understanding.
At their working session during a visit to Cambodia led by MPI Minister Vo Hong Phuc from Jan. 10-14, the two sides acknowledged that in 2009 the MPI provided training courses for 30 cadres of the Cambodian Planning Ministry under the MoU signed in Hanoi last March.
Besides, the two ministries organised exchange programmes for their staff to discuss and share experiences on professional information and legal documents on planning.
The PMI pledged to provide the Cambodian ministry with equipment and personnel training to manage and operate website on the Cambodia-Laos-Vietnam development triangle in the Kingdom.
While in Cambodia , Minister Phuc paid a courtesy visit to Prime Minister Hun Sen. As a Chairman of Vietnam’s coordinating committee on the development triangle, Minister Phuc met with Cham Prasit, Trade Minister and chairman of Cambodia ’s coordinating committee, to discuss measures and implementation of economic development cooperation programmes among the three countries./.
