On the occasion of the 63rd anniversary of the establishment of Vietnam-China diplomatic ties (January 18), Vietnamese and Chinese leaders exchanged messages of greetings on January 18.

Accordingly, Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, President Truong Tan Sang, National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung and Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung exchanged greetings with General Secretary of the Communist Party of China Xi Jinping, President Hu Jintao, Chairman of the Standing Committee of the Chinese National People’s Congress Wu Bangguo and Premier Wen Jiabao.

Also on this occasion, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Thien Nhan, head of the Vietnam-China Steering Committee on Bilateral Cooperation, and Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh exchanged greetings with State Councillor Dai Bingguo, head of the China-Vietnam Steering Committee on Bilateral Cooperation, and Foreign Minister Yang Jiechi.

The Vietnamese Ambassador to China Nguyen Van Tho, the Chinese Ambassador to Vietnam Kong Xuanyou, the Vietnam-China Friendship Association and the China-Vietnam Friendship Association also held receptions and meetings to celebrate the anniversary.-VNA
