The second Vietnam-China People’s Forum was held in China’s Anhui province in mid September.
The forum offered a chance to exchange informal information and discuss measures to further develop the relationship between the two countries for the interest of both peoples and both nations.
Participants at the forum, including scholars, veterans, former diplomats and journalists who have thorough understanding of the Vietnam-China relations, talked about existing shortcomings that need to be addressed to increase bilateral ties.
As part of activities to mark the Vietnam-China Friendship Year, the forum was jointly held by the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organisations and the Chinese People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries.
The first Vietnam-China People’s Forum was held in Vietnam’s northern province of Quang Ninh on March 31-April 1.
