Vietnam-China People’s Friendship festival wraps up

Addressing the event, Secretary of Liuzhou city’s Chinese Communist Party Chen Gang expressed his belief that after the festival, the two countries’ people will continue strengthening cooperation and exchanges, contributing to the Vietnam-China friendship.

Chairman of the Vietnam-China Friendship Association Nguyen Xuan Thang reviewed the results of the three-day festival, affirming that bilateral ties have been expanded and intensified in all fields of politics, economics, culture, education, security and defence.

Both Thang and Chairman of the China-Vietnam Friendship Association Wang Jinshan agreed that the cooperation and exchanges between friendship organisations have helped strengthen mutual understanding and the friendship between two peoples over the past time and need to be further promoted in the time to come.

The two chairmen of Vietnam-China and China-Vietnam Friendship Associations signed a declaration of the 2012 Vietnam-China People’s Friendship festival, pledging to make positive contributions to the development of the two countries’ relations, for peace, friendship, cooperation and development of the two peoples.

The declaration says the two peoples will inherit the tradition, reinforcing exhanges, mutual understanding and trust and boosting cooperation in all fields to incessantly consolidate and develop the Vietnam-China relation of good neighbours, good friends, good comrades and good partners.-VNA
