Vietnam and the Czech Republic committed to working together incombating drug, trans-national, cyber and human trafficking crimes atthe talks between their senior officials in Prague on July 7.
Minister of Public Security Tran Dai Quang and Czech Minister ofInterior Milan Chovanec agreed to continue talks so as to soon signagreements on crime prevention, extradition and judicial assistancewhile coordinating efforts to ensure security and safety, and boosttrade and investment as well.
Both countries will also worktogether to ensure legitimate rights and interests of their respectivecitizens and diplomatic representative agencies.
Quang toldthe media later that he is satisfied with the outcomes of the talksgiven they will serve as a solid foundation to propel ties between thetwo ministries forward in the interest of the two people.
Atthe Vietnamese embassy earlier, Quang updated the staffers with thelatest developments in the East Sea and Vietnam’s stance to settle thedispute since China illegally installed its oil rig Haiyang Shiyou – 981in Vietnam’s continental shelf and exclusive economic zone.
Meeting with the Vietnamese community, the minister affirmed that theParty and State always strive to help them integrate into the hostsociety.
He hailed the community for being recognised by theCzech government as the 14th ethnic minority group, saying that it is arecognition of their positive contributions to the country.-VNA
