Vietnam, DPRK exchange congratulations on diplomatic ties

Vietnamese leaders have exchanged messages of congratulations with leaders of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) on the occasion of the 70th founding anniversary of the DPRK diplomatic ties (January 31).

Hanoi (VNA) – Vietnamese leaders have exchanged messages ofcongratulations with leaders of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea(DPRK) on the occasion of the 70th founding anniversary of the Vietnam- DPRKdiplomatic ties (January 31).

The well-wishers are Party General Secretary and President Nguyen Phu Trong,Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc, Chairwoman of the National Assembly Nguyen ThiKim Ngan, and Chairman of the Workers’ Party of Korea and the State AffairsCommission of the DPRK Kim Jong Un, DPRK Prime Minister Kim Jae Ryong, andChairman of the Supreme People’s Assembly Pak Thae Song.

In their messages, the Vietnamese leaders highlighted the traditionalfriendship between the two Parties and States in the past seven decades, whichwas built and nurtured by President Ho Chi Minh and President Kim Il Sung. Theties have been elevated since the official visit to Vietnam by President KimJong Un in March 2019, they wrote.

The Vietnamese Party, State and people always attach much importance and wantto consolidate and develop the friendship for the sake of each country’s people,and for regional and global peace, stability, cooperation and development.

Meanwhile, the DPRK leaders said the Vietnam – DPRK relations have been continuouslyconsolidated and promoted in the cause of socialism building. They expressedtheir belief that the traditional friendship will be enhanced and developed ina deeper fashion in the time ahead.

On the occasion, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs PhamBinh Minh also exchanged a congratulatory message with DPRK Foreign Minister RoSon Gwon./.
