Vietnam, Ecuador record strong increase in two-way trade

Two-way trade between Vietnam and Ecuador reached 659 million USD in 2014, a year on year record increase of 83 percent, according to statistics released by the Central Bank of Ecuador.

TheLatin-American country exported goods worth 625 million USD to Vietnam,up 93 percent, and imported about 33.9 million USD, down 9 percent.

Vietnam shipped to Ecuador mainly data processing devices, smartphones, fishing net and footwear while importing marine products, mainlyfrozen shrimps.

Trade between the two countries rose sharplyin recent years, from 16.5 million USD in 2010 to 172.4 million USD in2012 and 360.7 million USD in 2013.-VNA

Vietnam to move PPP bidding online from 2027
