Vietnam gives priority to nuclear safety

The statement was made ahead of Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung’s trip to the Republic of Korea to attend the Seoul Nuclear Security Summit from March 26-27.

Vietnam ’s attendance of the Seoul summit reaffirms the country’s consistent policy of using nuclear power for peaceful purposes, Nghi said, adding that Vietnam treasures international cooperation in the field and is ready to expand that ties.

At the summit, Vietnam will present its efforts and measures to maintain the highest safety levels possible, and work with other countries to promote the peaceful use of nuclear power across the world.-VNA
