Vietnam has great potential for developing logistical sector, said David Yokeum, Chairman of the WCA Family of Logistics Network Association (WCA) at a meeting in the southern economic hub of Ho Chi Minh City on February 21.
David Yokeum said WCA as well as leading logistics companies in the US and Europe highly valued the potential of Vietnam ’s logistics market, which draw many foreign companies to come for cooperation.
Vietnam placed 53 rd out of 155 economies in the ranking table of the logistics sector, according to a World Bank report.
The meeting, the largest annual logistics conference ever held in Vietnam , has contributed to manifesting Vietnam ’s development potential in the sector and created Opportunities for foreign logistics companies to inquire into the market and seek partners see the development potential of Vietnam and paved the way to find cooperative pathways with the country in the future.
The WCA annual meeting, which is taking place from February 20-27 with the attendance of 1,600 professional logistics companies from more than 160 countries and territories, will create favourable conditions for transport agencies to exchange ideas, improve current relations as well as open ample new and stable cooperation opportunities for the future.
In the framework of the meeting, about 2,000 meetings and direct signing ceremonies between the enterprises are expected to be carried out with contracts totally capitalised at around 100 million USD./.
